Shelton Jewish Festival
This summer, Shelton will celebrate its diversity through a new music and cultural event, the Shelton Jewish Festival. The festival will offer a unique recognition of the music, traditions and foods that Jewish people celebrate and enjoy. The festival will be held Sunday, July 21 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Headlining the music portion of the festival will be a Klezmer band known as the “East Rock Klezmer Band,” headed by the one and only James Kessler, and specializes in Jewish Klezmer music. Their songs, which are in both English and Hebrew, bring the message of love and joy in Jewish music.
We will also have a second band joining us for the second half. More details to follow!
The festival will include family entertainment with inflatables, games, crafts, vendors, an exhilarating “Foam Party” experience for children, and Israeli Street foods, including Shawarma and Sabich – brought to you by Ladle & Loaf Kosher Restaurant.
Admission, music, and kids activities will be at no charge. The food will be for sale.
